Bank of Botetourt has announced that Amie A. Chernault has joined its team as branch manager of its Cave Spring office. Chernault brings over 30 years of experience in the banking industry.

Amie graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Business Administration, a concentration in Finance and minors in Economics and Psychology. She serves the Salem-Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce as a member of the board and executive board, as well as its treasurer. Amie is also a committee member for both the chamber’s Annual Gala and its Wine and Craft Festival.

Chernault was born in Rochester, N.Y. and moved to the Salem area where she attended Andrew Lewis and Salem high schools. A resident of the Cave Spring area, Amie enjoys spending her free time with her friends, family and two sons, Robby and Timmy.

Chartered in 1899, Bank of Botetourt operates 12 retail offices in Botetourt, Rockbridge, Roanoke, and Franklin Counties and in the City of Salem; and the mortgage company Virginia Mountain Mortgage. The bank maintains 13 ATMs around the area, seven of which accept deposits, and offers fee-free ATM access at any Sheetz location in the country.
