Yard sale May 2 at Springwood Baptist

Springwood Baptist Church is having a yard sale and bake sale on Saturday, May 2, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. The church is located at 88 Copps Hill Road, Buchanan.

 

Mt. Bethel Cemetery donations needed

Donations would be appreciated for the Mt. Bethel Church of the Brethren Cemetery upkeep this summer. The cemetery is located off Narrow Passage Road, Eagle Rock. Please send donations to Etta Alexander, P.O. Box 5, Eagle Rock, 24085.

 

May dates for Eagle Rock Clothes Closet

The Eagle Rock Community Clothes Closet located on Church Street in Eagle Rock will be open Saturdays, May 2 and May 16, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and Wednesday, May 6, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.  It offers ladies’, men’s and children’s clothing, as well as shoes and toys at no charge. Bags will be provided and please honor the bag limit posted.

A donation box is located outside the church for donations of clean, gently worn clothing. To make large donations or volunteer to help with this community mission, contact Pastor Ray Sandifer at 540-525-0258

 

Donations requested for Andrew Chapel Cemetery

Mowing season is here and donations for maintenance of the Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery are welcome. Donations, made payable to Andrew Chapel Cemetery Fund, may be sent to Andrew Chapel UMC, P.O. Box 998, Buchanan, 24066. No contribution is too small and all are greatly appreciated.

 

Cloverdale Thrift Store spring items

The spring collection has arrived at the Thrift Store at Cloverdale Church of the Brethren. It has beautiful jackets for $2 and all summer shirts are $1, with a wide variety of summer shoes. There are some great deals on kitchenware. Donations are welcome. The Thrift Store is open 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturdays.
