Pleasant Hill Baptist to distribute food boxes

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will be distributing free food boxes on July 12 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or till all boxes are taken.
Anyone in need of food is encouraged to come to Eagle Rock Library or the church on the corner of Country Club Road and Haymakertown Road.

 

VBS at Limestone Park July 7-11

Vacation Bible School is scheduled July 7-11 at Limestone Park from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for grades K-5; middle and high school students are encouraged to help as counselors. Bible study, recreation, swimming, and other activities are planned for each day.  Pre-registration is encouraged but not required.  Lunch will be provided each day. Community Meal July 14 in Eagle Rock

The community is invited to the bi-monthly potluck Community Meal on Monday, July 14, at 12 noon at the Community Center in Eagle Rock. Bring a dish or dessert to share with everyone and join in the good fellowship and food.

 

Mill Creek Baptist VBS

Mill Creek Baptist Church is gearing up for True North Vacation Bible School. Children will go on an adventure of finding God in the wild world, and keeping Him as their true North. Register children now to attend VBS July 13-17, 6-8:30 p.m., at vbspro.events/p/Millcreekbaptistchurch.

 

Fincastle Presbyterian holding special service June 25

On Wednesday, July 23 and Wednesday, August 27, Fincastle Presbyterian Church will host the regular fourth Wednesday Wholeness and Healing service. This is a short prayer service of quiet, music, and prayer followed by a time of meal and fellowship with a light supper; meet in the fellowship hall at 5 p.m.

 

Cloverdale Thrift Store sale

Cloverdale Church of the Brethren’s Thrift Store has capris and shorts for the whole family. Gently used donations are welcome. The store is open Saturdays, 9 to 12.

 

Homecoming at Lapsleys Run Baptist

Lapsleys Run Baptist Church will celebrate the annual Homecoming Day on Sunday, July 13. The morning service will begin at 11 a.m. The speaker for the morning service will be Deacon Edgar Freeman.
Lunch will be served following the service.
The afternoon service will begin at 2 p.m. Guests will be the Rev. Marcus Huffman and the choir and congregation of the Blue Ridge Baptist Church, Blue Ridge.
The members welcome everyone to join them and look forward to seeing everyone for  any of the church’s services, especially Homecoming Day.
Regular services are held on the second and fourth Sundays of each month at 11 a.m. Lapsleys Run Baptist Church is located at 608 Zion Hill Road, Fincastle.
