Zion Hill Baptist VBS Saturday
All area children, ages 3 years old to 5th grade, are invited to the Salvation Road Trip VBS at Zion Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, June 21. Vacation Bible School will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Zion Hill is located at the intersection of Zion Hill Road and Old Fincastle Road.

‘Fill the Porch’ at Buchanan Presbyterian
It’s time to “Fill the Porch” at Buchanan Presbyterian Church. The community is invited to once again help neighbors in need by filling the porch with non-perishable food items. Volunteers will be ready to accept donations of food or monetary donations from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 21. This yearly event is very important in efforts to provide supplemental foods to families in the community. Everyone is thanked in advance for their support.
Fincastle Presbyterian holding special service June 25
On Wednesday, June 25, Fincastle Presbyterian Church will host the regular fourth Wednesday Wholeness and Healing service. This is a short prayer service of quiet, music, and prayer followed by a time of meal and fellowship with a light supper; meet in the fellowship hall at 5 p.m.
‘Worship in the Park’ June 29 in Troutville
All are invited to join the Ebenezer United Methodist Church congregation to “Worship in the Park” at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, June 29 in Troutville Town Park.
Fincastle Clothes Closet June dates
Fincastle United Methodist’s Clothes Closet will be open on Saturday June 21, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and Tuesday, June 24, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., in the Family Life Center on 137 S. Church Street. Donations of gently worn, clean clothing and shoes also will be accepted.
Terrific Tuesdays Community Dinner June 24
Everyone is welcome to the free Terrific Tuesdays Church and Community Dinner at Fincastle United Methodist Church’s Family Life Center, 137 S. Church Street, on Tuesday, June 24. Dinner will be served from 5:30-7 p.m. The Terrific Tuesdays Church & Community Dinner is a regularly occurring event that always falls on the last Tuesday of the month.
Cloverdale Thrift Store spring sale
Cloverdale Church of the Brethren’s Thrift Store has capris and shorts for the whole family. Gently used donations are welcome. The store is open Saturdays, 9 to 12.
Homecoming at Lapsleys Run Baptist
Lapsleys Run Baptist Church will celebrate the annual Homecoming Day on Sunday, July 13. The morning service will begin at 11 a.m. The speaker for the morning service will be Deacon Edgar Freeman.
Lunch will be served following the service.
The afternoon service will begin at 2 p.m. Guests will be the Rev. Marcus Huffman and the choir and congregation of the Blue Ridge Baptist Church, Blue Ridge.
The members welcome everyone to join them and look forward to seeing everyone for any of the church’s services, especially Homecoming Day.

First Baptist Church of Fincastle yard sale at VFW this Saturday
The First Baptist Church of Fincastle Women’s Ministry will be holding a yard sale this Saturday, June 21, from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. at VFW Post 1841 at 4902 Roanoke Road in Daleville. The ministry will also have a bake sale and hot dogs with homemade chili.
