Springwood Food Pantry dates

The Springwood Baptist Food Pantry will be open on January 3 and January 17 from 10 a.m. until noon. Additionally, Feeding America Southwest Virginia’s produce delivery vehicle, the “Veggie Mobile,” will be onsite on January 3 to distribute fresh fruits and vegetables to community members in need free of charge. This program is part of the food bank’s Mobile Produce Program. Stop by and take advantage of this valuable opportunity to get fresh, healthy produce.  In the future, the “Veggie Mobile” will visit the Springwood Baptist Food Pantry on the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m.

Community Meal at Galatia January 8

Everyone is invited to a Community Fellowship Meal at Galatia Evangelical Presbyterian Church (meal provided by Galatia members) on Monday, Jan. 8 at noon. Galatia EPC is located at 78 Gala Loop Road, Eagle Rock. Inclement weather/school closing will cancel. Transportation will be provided upon request, call Pastor Greg at 540-588-9452 or 884-3616.

 

Appalachian Teen Challenge at Daleville Baptist

Daleville Baptist Church invites everyone to come at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14 to hear testimonies and singing y the Appalachian Teen Challenge. In case of bad weather, it will be changed to January 21.

 

Troutville Baptist hosting supper fundraiser

Troutville Baptist will host a hot dog and beans supper on Friday, Jan. 19 from 5-7 p.m. in the Troutville Town Hall.  Dine in or carry out.  The $5 cost is for two hot dogs, a bowl of beans and a drink. Slices of pie will be available for a donation. Proceeds benefit the church building fund.
