New pastors coming to Daleville
The Rev. Thomas S. Powers and the Rev. Naomi L. Powers will begin serving as part-time pastors of Daleville Church of the Brethren on January 1. Meanwhile, the Rev. Emma Jean Woodard, a former staff member of the Virlina District headquarters office of the COB in Roanoke, is interim there.

First Baptist celebrating pastor’s anniversary
The First Baptist Church of Fincastle, located at 6529 Blue Ridge Turnpike, Fincastle, will be celebrating the 12th pastoral anniversary of the pastor, the Rev. Montie E. Brown Sr., on Sunday, Nov. 19, during the 11 a.m. service. Dollie Adams will be preaching the morning message. Everyone is welcome and dinner will be served after the morning message.
Buchanan Community Thanksgiving Service
Buchanan Area Ministerial Association (BAMA) extends an invitation to attend the annual Community Thanksgiving Service on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 6:30 p.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church on Main Street in Buchanan. The preacher will be the Rev. Darrell Naff from Buchanan Baptist Church. All are invited to come to worship and thank the Lord, sing hymns of praise, and hear the Word preached. Galatia Thanksgiving Eve service
Galatia Evangelical Presbyterian Church will be having a Thanksgiving Eve service on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. The public is invited to this special service.
Fall Bazaar at Ebenezer
Ebenezer United Methodist church, 85 Nace Road, Troutville, will have its Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 8 a.m.-noon. There will be sausage gravy, sausage biscuits and coffee from 8-11, and hot dogs and soda from 11-noon. There also will be a bake sale, crafts and white elephant sale.
Mill Creek Baptist is drop-off site for Operation Christmas Child

Mount Olivet Christmas Bazaar
Mount Olivet United Methodist Church is holding a Christmas Bazaar at the church on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The church is at 26310 Lee Highway, Buchanan.
Breakfast, lunch and baked items will be for sale, all made by the Mount Olivet Quilters. There will be music by Eagle Mountain Band. All are invited to enjoy the fellowship, food and music.
Troutville Community Thanksgiving Service
The public is invited to join the Troutville congregations on November 19 at 6 p.m. for the annual Community Thanksgiving Service. Troutville Church of the Brethren is the host and the speaker will be John Graybill, pastor of the Cave Rock Baptist congregation. When the service ends, stay for food and fellowship. Baptists to host Bonsack union worship
The annual neighborhood ecumenical Thanksgiving worship for the Bonsack community will be held at Bonsack Baptist Church this year on Tuesday night, Nov. 21, starting at 7. The church is at 4845 Cloverdale Road. Its major partner is Bonsack United Methodist with other groups invited.
Andrew Chapel, Springwood Baptist service
Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church and Springwood Baptist Church will have a joint Thanksgiving service on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. This service will be held at Andrew Chapel, located at 3936 Beaver Dam Road, just off Springwood Road in Springwood. The community is invited to attend.
