Buchanan Community Thanksgiving Service
Buchanan Area Ministerial Association (BAMA) extends an invitation to attend the annual Community Thanksgiving Service on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 6:30 p.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church on Main Street in Buchanan. The preacher will be the Rev. Darrell Naff from Buchanan Baptist Church. All are invited to come to worship and thank the Lord, sing hymns of praise, and hear the Word preached. Galatia Thanksgiving Eve service
Galatia Evangelical Presbyterian Church will be having a Thanksgiving Eve service on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. The public is invited to this special service.
Cloverdale Church of the Brethren
The Thrift Shop is all ready for Christmas with a large selection of sweaters also Christmas sweaters, vests and accessories, Christmas dresses, shoes, children’s clothes and Christmas gifts. The shop is open each Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (closed December 23 and 30 to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s).
Mill Creek Christmas Bazaar
Mill Creek Baptist Church will hold its Christmas Bazaar and White Elephant Sale Saturday, Dec. 2 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. in the new fellowship hall.
Breakfast will be available in the old fellowship hall beginning at 8 a.m.
Kids will be able to visit with Santa Claus in the sanctuary from 10 a.m.-12 noon, and there will be a Santa’s Workshop in the Youth Room (no parents allowed) from 10- a.m.-noon. Santa’s Workshop is a place that kids can shop for family and friends. All items are under $5.
Lunch will be available from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the old fellowship hall
All proceeds will benefit Weekday Religious Education, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and the Building Fund.
Space for vendors to sell their goods is $25. To reserve space, contact Pat Shotwell at 254-1616.
‘Hanging of the Green at Mill Creek
Mill Creek Baptist Church is having its annual “Hanging of the Green” service Sunday, Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. All are invited to the service decorating the sanctuary and learning more about Christmas traditions.
