God’s Pit Crew fundraiser in Buchanan September 30
God’s Pit Crew will hold a fundraiser assembling Children’s Play Pails on September 30 at the Botetourt Event Center on Lee Highway in Buchanan. The following items are needed: fleece blankets, coloring books and crayons, water and Kool-Aid singles, small stuffed animals, baby wipes, small packs of tissues, kids toothpaste and toothbrushes, kids snacks, small flashlights, comb/brush, and very small toys.
A fishing rodeo will be held for this and Backpack Buddies on Oct 10 at Thrasher Pond from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Contact Karen Conner at 540-537-3357 or Steve Thrasher at 540-632-3598 for details.
Yard sale at Pierce Chapel October 3
Pierce Chapel Church on Timber Ridge at US 220 will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3. There is no charge of set up and limited tables are available. There will be free hot dogs; donations accepted. The rain date is October 10.
