Springwood Baptist Food Pantry

Feeding America Southwest Virginia’s produce delivery vehicle, the “Veggie Mobile,” will be at the Springwood Baptist Food Pantry on February 1 to distribute fresh fruits and vegetables to community members in need free of charge. This program is part of the food bank’s Mobile Produce Program. Stop by and take advantage of this valuable opportunity to get fresh, healthy produce. In the future, the “Veggie Mobile” will visit the Springwood Baptist Food Pantry on the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m.

Cloverdale Church of the Brethren Thrift Shop

The thrift shop has a great selection of warm winter cloths for children including winter jackets. It also has a large selection of men’s clothing, including brand name winter jackets for men. Women’s clothing includes dresses, tops, pants and sweaters. It is open each Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.



Wild Game event at Colonial Baptist

Colonial Baptist Church in Blue Ridge is hosting a Sportsmen’s Wild Game Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 6 p.m. This is a free event for area sportsmen (and women). There will be first, second, and third place prizes given for the best fish, best deer, and most unusual mounts! There will also be a variety of hunting and fishing door prizes including a muzzleloader, knives, rods and reels, and much more.

Guest speaker is J.R. Adkins, Bass Pro Redhead Field Staff and NITRO Team Member, and former host of Grassroots Television and Shallow H2O Outdoors.

Bring a prepared wild game dish, other meat, vegetable, and/or dessert. Drinks will be provided. Doors open at 5 p.m. Colonial Baptist Church is located at 221 Hillcrest Street in Blue Ridge. For more information, call 977-5683.

Bonsack Consignment Sale

The Bonsack Baptist Weekday Early Education Center (WEEC) consignment sale will be held Saturday, March 4 beginning at 8 a.m. in the new Community Life Center at Bonsack Baptist.

All proceeds from the sale directly benefit the local preschool. It is completely run by volunteers. The one-day consignment sale will host items ranging from maternity to teens to toys to nursery decor.
