The Botetourt County School Board made a slight change to the FY25 budget calendar, moving up the public hearing and voting on the budget to March 21 from the originally scheduled date of March 28. The change was made once the school system’s financial department realized the original date scheduled would occur during the Spring Break vacation period. Botetourt County Public Schools Financial Director Brandon Lee noted that he thought they would be “in same boat” as last year by moving up the hearing despite awaiting more “piece of the puzzle” from the state. The board unanimously voted to change the date of the public hearing to March 21.
