County staff introduced, recognized at board meeting

New Botetourt County staffers were introduced to the Board of Supervisors last Tuesday afternoon in Daleville. New members of the county’s staff include: Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent Anne Jones, Communications Marketing Specialist Jessica Hower, recent Fire Academy #36 graduates, County Fire & EMS Administrative Assistant Diana Scott, and Training and Development Coordinator Chris Becke. Also introduced was Fincastle Town Manager Melanie McFadyen.

Additionally, Botetourt County Fire & EMS Chief Jason Ferguson recognized Emergency Manager Daniel Murray who recently successfully completed his Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Disaster Management from Liberty University. Communications Specialist Tiffany Bradbury announced the department winning the Silver Addy Award for BOCO Wild. Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local tier of the American Advertising Awards (ADDY) is the first of a three-tier, national competition. Concurrently, across the country, local entrants vie to receive an ADDY Award – recognition as the very best in their markets. BOCO Wild will return to Botetourt on Saturday, June 8.
