Students from Central Academy Middle School and James River High School participated in the Marine Mud Run on Saturday, Sept. 21. The high school students ran the Devil Dog Dare Race that presents physical and mental challenges. The middle school students ran the Devil Pup Dare for kids 12 and under. The event is a non-profit event that is held annually by the Roanoke Valley Marine Corps League. Proceeds go to the Roanoke Toys for Tots Foundation and Camp Roanoke.
