Botetourt County athletes had some strong performances as William Fleming High School played host to the annual Cosmopolitan Club Track Meet in Roanoke last weekend.

The Cave Spring boys and Patrick Henry girls were team winners in the Senior Division. Lord Botetourt’s boys were eighth while James River finished seventh in the boys’ meet and 10th in the girls meet. Botetourt’s girls won the Junior Division, for ninth and 10th graders, and the boys were third.

“Our Senior Division teams were small due to Prom, but we still finished well,” said LB coach Chris Caldwell.
