Lord Botetourt and James River shared the Botetourt YMCA pool for a meet last week and both teams had some strong performances.
For LB Grayson Alfano and Sarah Frederickson both had personal bests in the 100 Back. Ella Johnston had a PR in the 50 Free, as did Olivia Nicely in the 100 Fly.
For River, David Merritt won the 100 Breaststroke and participated in two winning relays. The 200 Medley team of Ethan Smith, Merritt, Walker Wilson and Damien Mitchell won, as did the 200 Free team with the same foursome.
The Knights were scheduled to swim at the Salem Y Tuesday before taking a break for Christmas.
