Ashby Crowder of Front Royal, formerly of Fincastle, celebrated his 90th birthday with a surprise party on April 27 at First Baptist Church in Front Royal. It was hosted by his sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Donna Crowder and J.W. and Linda Crowder, and his grandchildren. Pictured with him are his surviving brother and sister, Lloyd Crowder of Zellwood, Fla., and Norma Crowder Johnson of Fincastle. Nephews and nieces attending were Billy Ray and Ellen Teaford, Lee and Cathy Cronise and Dale Johnson, all of Fincastle; Kenny Crowder of Salem, Barry Crowder of South Carolina, April Hill, Isiah and Reece of Buchanan, Suzanne Cronise of Troutville and Tanner Crowder of Arlington.
