Members of the Daleville/Fincastle Lions volunteered at the Fuzzy Logic concert at the Daleville Town Center on September 21. They sold tickets, worked at various stations, and helped clean up after the event. They also ran a 50/50 and the winner was given $700. The winner graciously returned $200 to the Lions so that the money could go into the Charitable Accounts fund. Lions give back 100 percent of whatever funds are raised through various projects. The money either goes directly back to the community or toward a national disaster project such as the one caused by Dorian.
Daleville/Fincastle Lions volunteered at the JDRF walk in Roanoke on September 22. Several members worked at the Kids Zone and others manned refreshment stations for the walkers. The Lions Club donated more than $500 to the JDRF Research Foundation this year.
