Dean Davison received the Libertarian Party of Virginia (LPVA) nomination for the House of Delegates 19th District (Alleghany, Bedford, and Bototourt counties and the City of Covington). The LPVA Area Convention was held March 9 at Town Center Tap House in Daleville. The convention was hosted by the Roanoke Valley Libertarians.

Davison is no stranger to community service. His service to the community is twofold. First as a volunteer firefighter with 17 years of combined service. Currently, he is a lieutenant training and safety officer for the Shady Grove Volunteer Fire Rescue in Thaxton.

Second as a leader in the LPVA. Davison joined the LPVA in 2013. He has held several positions of leadership including secretary of the 6th Congressional District (2016 – 2018) and currently as the vice chair of the Roanoke Valley Libertarians and the 5th Congressional District Chair of the LPVA (2018 – present).

Dean Davison says, “When working for an organization you must do for others not for your own personal interests. It is for we and not for me.”
