Dorsey Allen Love, 82, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, April 30, 2022.

Dorsey was a U.S. Veteran serving his country in the United States Air Force in Fire and Rescue. He spent many years traveling the country as a professional commercial driver. Dorsey never met a stranger and lived by the motto, “To have a friend, you have to be a friend.”  Those that knew Dorsey will not forget him. He always had a story to tell, whether it be about his lifelong travels, or his many hunting and fishing trips. He was a man of great faith and will now talk, walk, hunt, fish and enjoy his eternal life.

He will reunite with those that went before him: his parents, Dorsey B. and Frances L. Love; twin brother, Dennis F. Love; sister, Joyce Markham; and son, Fredrick G. Love.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Rocky and Charles Ann Love, Larry and Denise Love, Terri Love and Karen Carter; grandchildren, Candis and Josh Sharon, Nickolas, Emily, and Luke Love; great-grandchildren, Kenzi, Karli, Justice and Judge Sharon; his special angel on earth, Ruth Cook; and many other extended family and friends, which include his best buddies, Jake Bishop and Ronnie Craig.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the many wonderful doctors and nurses at Sacred Heart Hospital, and the great services given by Regency Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Take A Kid Fishing at https://www.takffl.com/

A memorial service was held at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 6, at Davis Watkins Crestview Memorial, 492 East Pine Avenue, Crestview, Fla.
