Sue Marazzi, vice president of the Eagle Rock Ruritan Club, recently presented the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Department a new supply of Rudy Bears. One very important service of Ruritan Clubs is to provide Rudy Bears to sheriff’s departments, fire and rescue departments, Social Services, and any other organization involved with children, especially in trauma situations.  The Eagle Rock Ruritan Club continues to provide this service in Botetourt County.

The club also continues to be involved in ongoing discussions and plans in the areas of health and transportation for Botetourt citizens, as well as such programs and Meals on Wheels.

At the most recent meeting of the Eagle Rock Ruritan Club, members were made aware of the need for poll workers during the upcoming election. At that meeting the club also voted in favor of receiving Jacob Hill as a new teen member.  Discussions are continuing on safe ways to re-open the Eagle Rock Community Center.
