FALLS, Robert M.

On February 9, 2020 Robert (Bob) Marion Falls, at the age of 83, went to meet his Lord and Savior surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 1, 1937 in Springwood to the late Clarence and Lottie Falls.  Bob was a great mechanic and enjoyed working on the farm for over 67 years. On February 7, 1954, he married the love of his life Mary Leffel. Together they raised their six children and loved spending time with their 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a grandson, Benjamin Falls; granddaughters, Kimberly Falls and Kristin Falls, and numerous sisters.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary; his children, Walter Falls (Wendy), Carol Peterson (Randy), Linda Rumburg (Tommy), Jeffery Falls (Beth), Gregory Falls (Cindy), and Bruce Falls (Robin); grandchildren, Eric Falls, Amber Falls, Ashley Lakes (Steve), Ashleigh Hedge, Megan Williams, Zachary Falls, Maryann Smith (Frank), Lynsey Bishop (Jason Stagg), Nathan Falls (Chelsea), Lorin Yeisley, Katie Alls (Joe), Jonathan Rumburg (Kelli), and Krisha Rumburg; great-grandchildren Luke Campbell, Chelynn Hairston, Taylor Williams, Bronwyn Mixon, Anna Lakes, Trey Bishop, Kallie Dunford, Brylee Falls, Joshua Dunford, Alex Lakes, Ashton Williams, Douglas Yeisley, Olivia Falls, Savanah Falls, Alexis Lowe, Zane Stagg and Blake Stagg. He is also survived by his brother, Bill Falls (Betty).

A celebration of Bob’s life was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 15, at St. Marks United Methodist Church, Daleville with the Rev. Dr. Justin White officiating.  The family greeted friends prior to the service from 1-3 p.m.
