Sam Finley was commissioned a second lieutenant Sunday, April 25, at Fort Pickett, Va. He recently completed Officer Candidate School at Fort McClellan, Ala. He is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and Radford University. He has been assigned as a platoon leader with Company A of the 116th Infantry Regiment of the Virginia National Guard. He is pictured with his fiancé, Emily Mangum. The two will be married on June 27.
