“Footloose, the Musical” continues this week at Attic Productions in Fincastle. It was adapted for stage by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, with music by Tom Snow and lyrics by Dean Pitchford.
As noted by the publisher, “With dynamic new songs augmenting the powerhouse hits from its bestselling Oscar-nominated score, ‘Footloose’ celebrates the exhilaration of youth, the wisdom of listening to one another, and the power of forgiveness.”
A large, talented, local cast has worked hard this summer to bring this production to life, directed by Kerry Williams, along with musical director Katie Miner and choreographer Mandy Masching. The show will be presented at Attic’s D. Geraldine Lawson Performing Arts Center, 7490 Roanoke Road, Fincastle, August 22-September 1. Thursday and Friday evening shows begin at 7:30, and Saturday and Sunday matinees begin at 2:30. Please note: This show contains mild adult themes and language.
Adult tickets are $20, students 18 and under and groups of 10 or more are $15 when paid in cash or by check at the box office. A $2 convenience fee per ticket will be added if paying with a card.
