Former Lord Botetourt High School teammates Carsen Brake and Lauren Hoffman found themselves in opposite dugouts when Eastern Mennonite played Roanoke College in an ODAC double-header Sunday at the Botetourt Sports Complex. Brake, here leading off second base, is a sophomore utility player for Eastern Mennonite while Hoffman is a junior pitcher and first baseman for the Roanoke College team. The Maroons, who are playing their home games at the BSC while the Moyer Complex in Salem is renovated, swept the double-header by scores of 3-0 and 12-2. Hoffman was three-for-three with four RBIs in the second game.
