There will be a fundraiser on Saturday, June 11, at James River Car Wash in Buchanan (next door to the Dollar General) for 5-month-old Tate Schmidt to raise funds for travel and expenses due to his upcoming heart surgery.
There will be a car wash from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., a hot dog meal from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and a bake sale from 11 a.m. until all baked goods are sold.
All proceeds will go directly to the Schmidt family. Tate is the son of Tyler and Kristin Schmidt and grandson of Mike and Susan Woody of Buchanan.
