Fundraisers to benefit Buchanan man who lost his home, possessions in house fire

Two fundraisers are being held for Buchanan resident Rob Watts, who lost his home and all of his possessions in a residential fire on February 9.

One of them is a raffle, with the following prizes:

  • 1st- $500 Visa Gift Card, donated by SanMarCo
    • 2nd 12 gauge shotgun, valued at $499, donated by H&H Outdoors
    • 3rd – Taurus G3XL 9mm pistol, valued at $349, donated by MECS Pawn
    • 4th – Stihl Trimmer, valued at $249, donated by James River Equipment

See either Steve Thrasher, Melissa Hutchens, Kallie Blake, or Mary Taylor to purchase tickets.

The drawings will be held on Saturday, March 11, during the second fundraiser– a cake walk at the Buchanan Moose Lodge at 3 p.m.

Those who wish to donate cakes can drop them off at SanMarCo in Buchanan the week of the cake walk from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. or take directly to the Buchanan Moose Lodge the day of the event.

Also, 50/50 and raffle tickets will be available for purchase.

Monetary donations may be directly made to Bank of Botetourt to the Rob Watts Fund.
