Girl Scout Troop 1280 from Fincastle earned their Bronze Award (the third highest award a Girl Scout can earn) by building a flowerbed at the Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department and planting flowers for the season. They received their Bronze Award Pins while visiting the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace in Savannah, Ga. where the first Girl Scout Troop met in 1912. The girls wish to thank Rud Peters at the Landscape Store, Joe Patterson, Shawn Ulrich and their families for helping them accomplish this award.
