The Lord Botetourt tennis teams will be taking on William Fleming Thursday, with the boys at Fleming and the girls at Hollins University.

The girls are 7-6 overall and 4-1 in the Blue Ridge District after defeating Northside last week, 7-2. Singles winners were Rachel Williams, Kaile Judge, Abby Eggleston, Kayleigh Shafer and Jordan Coffey. In doubles, Williams and Shafer won at number one and Leah Germain and Coffey won at three.

“This time we didn’t battle excessive wind, but we had crazy heat instead,” said coach Carol Altier. “Despite that, the girls played very well. They made calculated shots, hit some awesome serves, and worked hard.”

No information was reported for the boys.
