The Salem-Roanoke Baseball Hall of Fame presented its annual Ray Bellamy Award between games of the Senior doubleheader at Salem Memorial Ballpark on July 30. Lord Botetourt’s Owen Prince was a finalist for the award, which goes to the Player of the Year in the Hall of Fame coverage area, and the winner was Mason Self of Christiansburg. William Byrd’s Hunter Sipe was a finalist but was not present for the photo. Prince (right in photo) received his award from Hall of Fame Vice President Gary Walthall.
