A two-vehicle accident killed two men on Route 11 near Valley Road, Troutville, on Friday, May 18.
According to the Virginia State Police report, a 2000 Ford E-250 driven by Jeffrey Shane Bradford, 41, of Bedford, was traveling north on Route 11, crossed the center line and struck a 1998 Chevrolet pickup head-on about 2:20 p.m. on Friday. The driver of the Chevrolet was Tracy Scott Firestone, 58, of Troutville. Both men died at the scene and neither was wearing a seatbelt.
State Trooper H. Young is investigating the crash.
