Lord Botetourt’s Maggie Hoover has been named second team All-State in Class 3 basketball. Abingdon senior power forward Annsley “A.J.” Trivette is the Class 3 Player of the Year and Abingdon head coach Jimmy Brown is the Class 3 Coach of the Year after leading the Falcons to the Class 3 state championship. Abingdon eliminated Lord Botetourt from the post-season in a close game, 53-49, in the Region 3D quarterfinal round. Abingdon went on to win the region and beat Skyline, 58-38, in the Class 3 state championship game.
