The Town of Fincastle “stepped back” into history last Saturday. The annual event once again featured a host of informative and commemorative locations for visitors to experience. Here, Botetourt citizens are dressed in fashions found in the county during the late 1700s. Valerie Brugh (left) wears a dress similar to the style of dress in 1770. Kevin Roberts (center) in the garb of a gentleman walking through Fincastle in the late 18th century. Marcia Neighbors (right) stands outside of the James Early Cabin where visitors could take a tour of the home and experience Revolutionary War interpreters, who had items from that era on display (below).
