JRHS Celebrates Homecoming

Erik Tolley (left) was crowned James River High School’s Homecoming King and Michaela Tolley was crowned Homecoming Queen during halftime of Friday night’s football game in Springwood. Other candidates for Homecoming Queen were seniors Brittany Lowe, Skylar Taube and Abigail Wentworth. Other candidates for Homecoming King were Adam Downey, Zac Hodges and Richard Holland. The Homecoming Court included  freshmen Emma Johnson and Morgan Marshall, sophomores Lakota Lucado and Emily McBryde and juniors Olivia Hoye and Hannah Wright.

James River High School chorus members were a bit nervous before gathering around the microphone Friday evening to sing the “National Anthem” before the start of the school’s Homecoming game with Glenvar. All went well for the young ladies who are directed by Pam Stump (holding the microphone). Chorus members include Kelsi Hammons, Morgan Bratton, Pam Stump, director, Jenna Garland, Brianna Baldwin, Hannah Slusser, Jasmine Myers, Brittany Lockhart, Brianna Dunbar, Chyann Kimberlin, Charlie Stevens, Tara Krantz and Amanda Garrison,
