Art in the Park
On Friday, June 7 from 6 to 9 p.m., Natural Bridge State Park will host a workshop by artist Ronald Navroski in the Interactive Classroom inside the Visitor Center.
Artistic representations of Natural Bridge have spanned years, from the rough sketches of Thomas Jefferson to the paintings of Edward Beyer. Wine will be available to purchase through the Friends of Natural Bridge State Park. Bring identification to verify age.
Pre-register before May 27 for $35 by contacting the visitor center at 540-291-1326. Registration afterwards will increase to $40. Limited space available. Maximum of 30 attendees.
Virginia State Parks History and Culture Day at Natural Bridge State Park
June 15 is History and Culture Day at Virginia State Parks. Natural Bridge State Park is hosting several guided programs in addition to the Monacan Exhibit and the Base Camp discovery area. Learn about the historic resources that are the core of many parks.
At 11 a.m., join a ranger for a short walk underneath the bridge itself to learn about the famous (and infamous) stories surrounding park and property. This talk spans millions of years and explores the formation of the bridge and some of the famous people linked to its incredible history.
At 2 p.m., a ranger will help guests explore traditional Appalachian lifeways. This includes a demonstration of tools and techniques used in log cabin construction and a discussion of how changes in the mountains and forests affected the people that lived amongst them.

Great American Campout at Natural Bridge State Park
On June 22, Natural Bridge State Park will take part in their third Great American Campout. In addition to a night under the stars, rangers will be on hand for guided programs and to help with camp set-up, including a campfire program with s’mores.
At 9 p.m., join a ranger for a walk up to Jefferson Point to experience the forest at night and learn how the animals that live there have adapted to thrive in the dark.
Tent set up will start at 6 p.m. on Saturday and must be packed up by 11 a.m. the next day. Size is limited to six persons per tent per reservation and requires an $8 reservation fee, paid in advance at the Visitor Center. A ranger will be on hand at the campsite to assist campers. It is a primitive campground. Bathroom facilities will be available but you must bring any water you anticipate using. For more information, visit online or call the park at (540) 291-1330.
Full Moon Yoga at Natural Bridge
On June 17 at 8 p.m., Center of Gravity Yoga Studio will host a guided yoga session on Jefferson Point at Natural Bridge State Park.
To take advantage of the dark skies and excellent view at Jefferson Point, rangers at Natural Bridge are working with Center of Gravity Yoga to host a sunset wagon ride leading up to a guided yoga session underneath the full moon. The program will last until approximately 9:30 p.m. to allow for moonrise.
Cost is $10 per person. Preregistration is requested, make reservations by calling the park at (540) 291-1330. Payment can be made at the visitor center in advance of the program.
