The market provides last-minute pumpkins last Saturday.

The Botetourt Farmers Market held its Harvest Fest & Customer Appreciation Day last Saturday. It marked the final Saturday of the market’s season.

Botetourt County’s foliage is officially “painted” in the colors the fall season. Reds, yellows, and oranges (and yes, still some green) provided a beautiful backdrop for the market’s vendors selling their wares.

Market-goers purchased various produce, sweets, flowers, and pumpkins from food and agriculture vendors. The market’s artisans provided jewelry, paintings, décor, and homemade health and beauty products.

Trey Saunders provided the live music as some attendees wore their Halloween garb visiting the vendors and enjoying the morning (and candy).

While the season’s over, the Botetourt County Farmers Market is far from done in 2021. The vendors have two big days ahead. The Thanksgiving Holiday Market will be on November 20. Then, the Christmas Holiday Market closes out the year on December 18.

For more information, visit the Botetourt Farmers Market’s Facebook page.

Marketgoers brought along some of their furry friends in-costume, and some out-of-costume.
