The Lord Botetourt girls had a big day at the Class 3 state swim meet in Richmond last week, finishing fourth among 23 teams that scored. LB had several state champions in the meet, which was won by the York girls and Western Albemarle boys.

Miranda Kirtley won the 200 Freestyle in 1:52.81 and also took the 500 Free with a time of 5:01.79. She also swam on two relay teams with Olivia Bray, Brooke Heptinstall and Katelyn Arney. The 400 Free team was second and the 200 Medley team finished fifth.

Bray won the 100 Fly with a time of 53.71 and took second in the 100 Free at 51.82. Heptinstall was fifth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:10.09 and seventh in the 100 Breast.

The LB boys finished in a tie for 21st. The 200 Medley Relay team and the 200 Free Relay teams both finished 14th and the 400 Free Relay team was 15th.
