Lawrence Landon Baker, 85, of Buchanan, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022.
He was retired from C&P/Bell Atlantic Telephone Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Helen Baker; daughter, Susan Alderman; sister, Noreen Utt; brother and sister-in-law, James and Peggy Baker; brother-in-law, Carty Young.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Gretchen Lipes Baker; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Connie Baker, Alan and Diane Baker; grandchildren, Adam Alderman, Caleb Baker, Tyler Crosier, Ryan (Abi) Baker, and Allison Baker; great-grandson, Marcus Baker; son-in-law, David Alderman; sister, Ina Young; brother, Philip Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 12-1 p.m. with funeral services at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor Brandon Nicely officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.botetourtfuneralhome.com or 540-254-3000.
