The Lord Botetourt tennis boys finally have a home. The Cavaliers will host the Region 3D tournament this week at the Roanoke College Elizabeth Campus courts.
The Cavaliers opened region play last Friday with a 5-0 win over Cave Spring, improving their overall record to 17-0. The Cavs are scheduled to face the winner of a match between Northside and Magna Vista and that was tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, but Northside’s graduation is Wednesday so that will likely be moved to Thursday if the Vikings prevailed.
The championship match will also be at Roanoke College if LB wins in the semifinal round. The Cavaliers are top-seeded and earned the right to host but they did not have courts this year so RC will serve as their home court in the post-season.
The girls did not qualify for the region tournament, finishing 3-7 in the Blue Ridge District and 3-13 overall.
