The Lord Botetourt girls defeated two more opponents to remain undefeated last week. Lord Botetourt is 6-0.
The Cavaliers opened the week with a 4-1 win over Staunton River in Moneta. The Eagles took an early lead on a corner kick and led 1-0 at the half, but LB bounced back with four unanswered goals after intermission.
On Thursday the Cavaliers traveled to Lynchburg to take on Liberty Christian Academy for the second meeting of the season against a tough foe. The first half was scoreless, and the game appeared destined to go to overtime before Briana Myers found Allie Spangler for a goal with just inside of six minutes remaining in regulation, and that was the final score.
The Cavaliers were scheduled to play at Northside on Tuesday and on Friday they’re home to William Byrd in their final game before spring break.
