Football practice began at James River and Lord Botetourt High School last week. The locals will put on full pads this week as they prepare for coming scrimmages. River will scrimmage at Rockbridge on August 11 and LB will be at Dinwiddie on August 12. The two county teams will play a Benefit Game on August 18.
