The Lord Botetourt swim team will host a meet at the Botetourt YMCA tonight as William Byrd, Franklin County and Christiansburg join the Cavaliers for a 7:30 p.m. start.

The Cavaliers competed in the All-Timesland Invitational last Saturday and had some good performances. The meet, at the Roanoke Gator Center, is one of the biggest of the winter swim season.

LB’s Hannah Mizuba had a big day, winning the 100 Free and taking second in the 50 Free. She made the state cut in both events. Also, Sarah Frederickson took 11th in both the 100 Free and 100 Back.

James River did not attend the Timesland meet but swam in a meet at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center last week. Walker Wilson won the 100 Butterfly and took second in the 50 Freestyle. Drew Wilson was second in the 100 Free and third in the 100 Breaststroke, and MacKenzie Alford was third in the 100 Free.

The Knights were scheduled to swim at the Bedford Y on Tuesday of this week.
