The Daleville-Fincastle Lions Club picked up trash on its 2.6-mile assigned Adopt-a-Highway portion of Catawba Road in Daleville on Saturday, April 17. Members participating were newest member Rich Boone, Secretary Lowell Skelton, President Scott Johnson, and Lions Karen Sledd, Jim Reynolds and Forest Wagner.
The Daleville Fincastle Lions Club was chartered in January 2019 and has become active in serving the communities of both Daleville and Fincastle with service projects such as volunteering at the Botetourt Food Pantry in Fincastle, vision screening in schools and day care centers in Botetourt and Craig Counties, assisting with blood drives in Daleville, volunteering for the Troutville Fire Department, supporting the League for Animal Protection in Fincastle and volunteering for the Daleville Town Center music events.
