At their regular work day on Saturday, August 24, at the Botetourt Food Pantry in Fincastle, the Daleville-Fincastle Lions Club made a $9,000 donation to the Food Pantry. This donation was funded as by  $3,000 from the local Daleville-Fincastle Lions Club and $6,000 from a grant received from the Lions of Virginia Foundation.

The local Lions Club has worked at the site with Food Pantry Shift Supervisor Karen Beasley since September 2020. She is retiring from the Food Pantry after more than 25 years of service there. The Lions Club would like to say “thank you” to her and wish her well in her retirement.

The local Lions Club will also be doing the vision screening for the Botetourt County Public Schools this year.

Anyone who would like to get involved with a service club with the motto “We Serve” may contact President Scott Johnston at sjohnston@tvfd.org or Secretary Lowell Skelton at lskelton0169@jetbroadband.com .
