In November 2018, Lion Anita Jo “Jodi” Falstreaux passed away. She had been a part of the Buchanan Lions Club for many years. The Lions wanted to do something in remembrance of Jodi and knew that she loved animals. After lots of research, the Lions found Leader Dogs for the Blind.
From white cane training to matching people with a leader dog, Leader Dogs for the Blind provides the tools and training to reintroduce blind people to a life of independence, confidence and companionship. It’s a way of living that leads to a new perspective on life. The Lions decided to contact the organization and sponsor a handsome black Lab puppy named Zeppelin, in honor of Jodi Falstreaux.
The club presented Jodi’s daughter, Yvonne Yopp and Yvonne’s husband, Andy Yopp with the Official Certificate of Sponsorship and a picture of Zeppelin.
