The Lord Botetourt FFA Chapter is preparing for a new school year with a new team of student leaders ready to serve their chapter, school and community.

James Reese Lane will lead the chapter as president. Noah Meyer and Julia Mosley will serve as vice presidents, while Layla Cook will take on the duties of secretary. Matthew Barker will serve as treasurer, with Briggsley Grant serving as reporter and John Vaughan as sentinel.

Lilah Barker will serve as the chapter’s student advisor, and Stuart Byrd will continue as the FFA chapter advisor.

The officers were selected through a process that included written applications and officer training. The process gave students an opportunity to demonstrate their leadership abilities and prepare for the responsibilities that come with serving as an FFA officer.

Throughout the coming school year, the new officer team will help plan and organize chapter activities, assist with FFA events and encourage fellow members to become involved. They will also represent Lord Botetourt FFA at school and community events.

Working alongside Advisor Byrd and the chapter’s members, the officers will play an important role in promoting the FFA program and its commitment to leadership, service and agricultural education.

With a new team in place, Lord Botetourt FFA is looking forward to another active year and the opportunities ahead for its members and the community.
