Last week, at the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors meeting, Director of Community Development Nicole Pendleton formally welcomed new staff member Nick Baker as Botetourt County’s new Code Enforcer.

Julie Phillips, Botetourt County Public Libraries Director, introduced the Blue Ridge Public Library’s new branch manager, Sarah Rodgers, to the board. Rodgers is a graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. She also graduated from Drexel University with a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science and earned a Graduate Certificate in Local Government Management.

“She comes (to Botetourt County) with a firm educational background and 17 years in public library service,” Phillips told the board.

Rodgers started out in Roanoke County Public Libraries working in multiple departments. Additionally, she is the former Branch Manager of the Vinton Library. Most recently, Rodgers was the Children’s Divisional Manager for Roanoke County Public Libraries.

Mandy Atkins, Botetourt County Director of Parks & Recreation, welcomed Tera Williamson, the new administrative assistant for the Parks & Rec office. Williamson previously worked in Roanoke County where she was the county’s assistant registrar. She’s a graduate of Virginia Tech and is a Botetourt County resident. She and her husband run Williamson Farm in Troutville.
