Mt. Joy Rebekah Lodge has announced the winner of its recent drawing. Kathy Basham of Vinton won eight gift cards that amounted to $180.

The winning ticket was drawn at the last meeting on September 28 by Buchanan fireman Matthew Williams. The Rebekahs thank everyone for their support by purchasing tickets.

The Rebekah Lodge makes many charitable donations. Members provide eye exams and purchase eyeglasses for needy people. They also contribute to the Education Foundation, Eye Research and the Arthritis Program.

The Rebekah Assembly (statewide) gave $10,000 to the Addy Grace Foundation, which will soon build a playground in Daleville to help handicapped children to enjoy a little fun.
