Munters Group AB broke ground on a new facility last Thursday, beginning construction in the Greenfield business park in Daleville.

Members of the Botetourt County government, the Munters Group, and ARCO Construction were in attendance to see the official groundbreaking ceremony.

Adam Burger with ARCO Design/Build moderated the event. Jake Stefan, ARCO Design/Build CEO, spoke first and was followed by words from Munters President Michael Ganter, Vice President of Development of Graham & Company Henry Graham, and Botetourt County Board of Supervisors representative Billy Martin.

“Munters had a number of options and opportunities to consider outside of Virginia,” Martin said. “Botetourt County competed with many other localities in several states to position ourselves as the right choice for Munters’ needs today and for their long-term vision. To the Munters Corporation, we say, welcome Munters to Botetourt County and thank you for locating here.”

The new facility will bring 200 direct jobs to the area by retaining its existing workforce and will support more than 150 new jobs. Botetourt County will benefit from over $90 million annually in revenue after the buildout.

Munters Group AB is based in Sweden and becomes the 13th nation represented in Botetourt’s ever-expanding business community. The commercial real estate group Graham & Company will oversee the development of the new facility. ARCO Construction manages the overall construction.
