National Day of Prayer services have been scheduled in Botetourt and surrounding areas on Thursday, May 4, at 12 noon.
The public is invited to join in any of the services that will be held at:

- Troutville Town Park, US 11; sponsored by Troutville Church of the Brethren
- Fincastle Library parking lot, Academy Street, Fincastle; sponsored by Fincastle United Methodist Church
- Eagle Rock Library; sponsored by Galatia Presbyterian Church
- Valley View Baptist Church parking lot, South Main Street, Buchanan; sponsored by Valley View Baptist Church
- Read Mountain Fire Department, off Cloverdale Road; sponsored by Orchard Hills Church
- Villa Heights Baptist Church parking lot, US 460 westbound; sponsored by Villa Heights Baptist Church
- Blue Ridge Post Office, US 460; sponsored by Colonial Baptist Church
- “Prayer on the Mountain” at Parkway Wesleyan Church off US 460 eastbound, Roanoke; sponsored by Parkway Wesleyan Church.
Each of these events is non-denominational, and provides an opportunity to join others for a time of uniting in prayer for the country and its leaders.
