Davis H. Elliot Co. Inc., a full-service electrical contractor, has promoted Scott Navis to Chief Financial Officer.

“Scott has been instrumental in improving our service to internal and external customers, as well as the utilization of some great new technology,” remarked President & CEO David Haskins. “We are excited to have him move into this role and look forward to working with him as we continue to grow.”

Navis joined Elliot in July of 2006 as controller before moving into the position of vice president – finance. During this period, Navis was responsible for accounting, payroll, and accounts payable. He also contributed heavily to the management of the benefit and 401k programs, and played an integral role in the administration of Elliot’s Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).

Prior to joining Elliot, Navis served for over a decade in a variety of financial roles at Proctor & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio and the Jif Plant in Lexington, Ky.

In his new role, Navis will be focused on the overall strategy, stewardship, and sustainability of the Davis H. Elliot Co. while ensuring the health of the ESOP. He will continue to report directly to President & CEO David Haskins.
