New Lord Botetourt High School head football coach Nick Leftwich (bottom right) conducted a youth football camp at Cavalier Stadium last week for kids ages 8 to 14. The camp stressed skill development, agility, team building and a positive football experience for the future Cavalier players. Leftwich will open his first preseason camp at LB this week as the Cavaliers prepare for their season opener on August 22 against Rye Cove High School at the Emory & Henry University football stadium. James River will also open practice this week starting at 8 a.m. Thursday. The Knights will open the season August 28 at home against Auburn.
